HELLO KITTY BRAND DOCUMENTARY

Researched, wrote, and produced a feature length brand documentary about Hello Kitty. The undistributed movie features Hello Kitty's history, a behind-the scenes look at the Sanrio headquarters in Japan, and interviews and profiles of Sanrio fanatics. Sanrio loved it, it was everything we pitched them, but ultimately they have still held off on releasing it. We're hopeful it will be available sometime in the near future.

 

HELLO KITTY CON 2014

I was a Brand Event Manager at the large Hello Kitty fan convention/celebration at MoCA Los Angeles in 2014. My job involved overseeing Hello Kitty fan art workshops taught by major artists (including Paul Frank, Onch, & Chef Duff Goldman). I helped maintain the materials inventory for the duration of the event, helped troubleshoot site problems, and worked closely with artists to make sure their needs were met for workshops. At the opening night private event, I supervised the load-in for entertainment, which involved working with the sound team, an acrylic grand piano delivery and tuning, multiple DJ set-ups, and handling opening night talent (Japanese star/musician Yoshiki and his entourage, DJ SoSuperSam, and DJ Harley). It was an amazing experience and Sanrio loved the event.
